LSE's Learning Technology and Innovation (LTI) team have won the Overall Gold Award at the Wharton-QS Stars Reimagine Education Awards 2016.
The award recognises LSE's work to involve students in their own learning, encourage them to create and co-create knowledge, and transform education and assessment through technology.
The Overall Gold Award recognised the Students as Producers initiative as the “world’s most innovative pedagogy to enhance student learning and/or employability”. The team also won in the category for Best Hybrid Learning Innovation (the most innovative blended pedagogy resulting in enhanced student learning outcomes).
Peter Bryant, Head of Learning Technology and Innovation, said: “We are honoured and humbled by such global recognition of the work of LSE to deliver innovative approaches to pedagogy. This award adds to the increasing international and national recognition for the work of LTI and the School.
"LTI continue to support and work with colleagues who seek to make the experience of their students an engaged and collaborative one. We hope that this award will encourage others to participate in what is truly a transformative and inspirational initiative. We also want to recognise the incredible commitment and passion shown by all the people in the departments who worked on these projects. They represent the very best of education at the School.”
