About me

Rehan is currently a class teacher for the MA100 Mathematical Methods course. He completed a PhD in Applied Mathematics (Nonlinear Dynamics) at UCL in 2022, where he also taught a wide range of courses in mathematics, physics and engineering for four years. In addition to winning two Teaching Excellence awards at UCL, he is also an accredited Fellow (FHEA) of the UK Higher Education Academy. Prior to this, he taught GCSE and A-Level mathematics for three years as a full-time teacher at several independent schools across London. His research interests lie within applied mathematics, which involves constructing and using mathematical models to solve physics and engineering problems. He is also passionate about the exposition of mathematics through research and teaching and enjoys reading and learning about the history and philosophy of mathematics.
