Michael Roth MP (@MiRo_SPD) is German Minister of State for Europe at the Federal Foreign Office, a position he has held since 2013.

Since 1998 he has been a directly elected member of the German Bundestag; from 2010 to 2013 he served as spokesperson on Europe of the SPD parliamentary group; and from 2009 to 2014 he was Secretary-General of the SPD in Land Hesse.

Since 2014 he has held the following positions; Commissioner for Franco-German Cooperation; member of the Deutsche Welle Broadcasting Board; member of the Board of Trustees of the Institute for European Politics and member of the board of the Franco-German Institute in Ludwigsburg; Chairman of the supervisory board of the Center for International Peace Operations (ZIF); and member of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation Flight, Expulsion, Reconciliation.

Self-Assessment Record forms will be made available for delegates wishing to record further learning and knowledge enhancement for Continuing Personal and Professional Development (CPD) purposes. For delegates who wish to obtain a CPD Certificate of Attendance, it is the responsibility of delegates to register their details with a LSE steward at the end of the event and as of 1 September 2014 a certificate will be sent within 28 days of the date of the event attended by the CPD Certification Service.  If a delegate fails to register their details at the event, it will not prove possible to issue a certificate.
