About me

I graduated from Valencia University with a BA in Geography and History and a Teaching Certificate, equivalent to a PGCE in the UK.

I also have a Diploma in Teaching Foreign Languages (RSADipTFLA) and a Diploma in Museum Studies from ANABAD.

On my arrival in the UK, I worked as a Spanish lecturer and visiting teacher at University College London, Middlesex University, University of Westminster, Kingston University, the Open University, as well as in other Adult Education Centres. I also taught Spanish A-level and GCSE for a few years and I was Assistant Examiner for the Examination Board Edexcel. During this time, I also trained Foreign Language Teachers, Community Interpreters and Bilingual Advocates.

Prior to joining LSE, I worked as a Spanish and Catalan Coordinator and Head of Languages at City Lit, and as a Curriculum Manager for Adult Education at South Thames College.

I am also a member of the Festival of Spanish Theatre in London, FesTelōn, organising annual theatre productions in Spanish.

About the Language Centre

LSE is a centre for the study of the social sciences and this is reflected in its Language Centre.

Our courses focus on language and society, encouraging you to learn how to use language in the contexts you would like to live, study and work in. We teach people to speak languages, but also teach about language (socio-linguistics and intercultural communication) and offer a range of courses on literature and society.

We offer English for Academic Purposes programmes, BSc programmes a range of undergraduate degree courses that can be taken as part of a degree and a range of language options that can be taken outside of a degree programme. All programmes and courses relate language study and support to the fields of interest of social science students.
