About me

Marina Cino Pagliarello holds a PhD in European Political Economy in the LSE European Institute, where she currently works as Fellow in European Politics and Public Policy. She has professional experience both in the public and private sector. Her areas of expertise include European politics, public policy, and education and training. Marina also works as Research Associate for LSE Consulting; her latest projects include a study on European mapping of teachers and trainers in work-based learning and a study on vocational training policies for social inclusion in the Western Balkans, Turkey and Israel. Marina is also Research Director of the project Civic education and populism, which is part of the activities of 89Initiative, a pan-European think-do tank based at the European Institute of the LSE.

Prior to that, she has worked for the National Research Institute of the Italian Ministry of Labour as policy expert for comparative analysis of European education policies and for the Italian Ministry of Education. In addition, she has taught international relations and management at undergraduate and corporate level in Italy.

Marina holds an MRes in European Studies from the London School of Economics, an MSc in Economics of Arts and Culture from SDA Bocconi School of Management and an MA in History from the University of Pisa.
