We are a charity that harnesses the transformative power of play and exercise to help vulnerable children recover from complex trauma. Our goal is to nurture the confidence of every child we work with and develop valuable life skills to help them reach their full potential.

If you are studying or researching a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Maths (STEM) related subject and want to volunteer and share your knowledge and experience with young people, you could become a STEM Ambassador.

The biggest fundraising event we hold every year is Madras Café, held at Womad Festival in July. The Action Village India team holds a stall in the Madras Café tent selling ethical products made in India, showcasing our exhibition and informing people about the work of AVI and our partners.

Do you want to use your links within your community to help Carers UK raise vital funds? The Community Fundraiser volunteer role is a fantastic way to be connected to your local community and make new friends whilst raising money on behalf of unpaid carers and Carers UK in your local area.

A Community Connector helps Carers UK connect with carers and promote awareness of caring by distributing publicity material – such as leaflets and posters – within local communities.

An Online Awareness Raiser helps raise awareness of caring and the support available to unpaid carers through social media, while also providing a voice for unpaid carers with assistance from Carers UK.

Carers UK’s Insight Volunteers share their lived experiences of unpaid caring and insights to help us look into new areas of research and develop or evaluate key services and products

The Onion Garden is a non-religious/non-political Community Interest Company serving as an urban community hub. It offers opportunities for reconnecting with the natural environment through the creation of sculptural art installations and insect-friendly planting, and for educational activities.
