We have two teaching support roles available. Both involve supporting primary aged children and older children at secondary school, who have little educational support at home, with their studies. Could you help us support these young people?

If you are studying or researching a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Maths (STEM) related subject and want to share your knowledge and experience, you could become a STEM Ambassador! STEM Ambassadors are passionate and enthusiastic about what they do and want to inspire the next generation.

Step Out Mentors are recruiting volunteer youth mentors who can invest 2 hours a week supporting a young person aged 8-18 through outdoor based mentoring sessions. This could include going cycling, visiting museums, enjoying new foods and trying new fun experiences in their local community.

A small stipend of about USD 200 per month. Flights and accommodation is also for the account of the intern. We are able to assist the interns with sourcing accommodation (+-USD600 per month).

Volunteer with us at the 2026 London Marathon! You will help cheer on our runners and guide them to our post race reception - making the day a success and helping people with a learning disability across England, Wales and Northern Ireland whilst having fun too! Why not join us?

Volunteer with us to help host an amazing fundraising event! You will help the team with running the event and making it a success, welcoming people in, serving drinks, selling raffle tickets, and helping set up and take down at the end of the event.

You'll be part of our cheering squad at the London Landmarks Half Marathon on Sunday 12th April! Mencap have lots of runners raising money for Mencap's work supporting people with a learning disability. As part of our cheer squad, you'll give them that extra support to cross the finish line.

We are on the lookout for passionate volunteers to join us at the Hackney Half on May 17th. As a volunteer on the day you’ll be part of an amazing atmosphere and will support Mencap to make change through supporting our fundraisers engaging with your local community.
