A group of LSE graduates throw their hats in the air

Widening Participation Alumni

The WP Team keep in contact with our participants long after they attend LSE on pre-entry programmes.

Many of our past participants also find time to return to Widening Participation to work as student staff, as Course Directors on our Summer Schools, or as guest speakers on other programmes.

Below you can read about the exciting journeys these WP Alumni have been on since graduating.

Anna-Mariya Angelinova

Anna-Mariya Angelinova

Anna-Mariya studied Law at LSE and was on Pathways to Law prior to this. What she enjoyed about university the most was the independence, the people and the opportunities. Working at her own pace allowed Anna-Mariya to fully immerse herself in university life and not only enjoy her subject, but also meet incredible people and wholly pursue outside interests.

Anna-Mariya graduated from LSE in 2018, she is currently completing her Legal Practice Course (LPC) and combined masters at BPP University, with a training contract at Taylor Wessing commencing in August 2019.

Kim was also the Vice President of the consulting society since she was interested in getting more people interested in the world of consulting. She took part in the WP summer school economics class as a course assistant. Kim now works at Wellington Management which is an asset management firm in a research capacity. She is responsible for helping her manager research companies to invest in.

Following her studies, Rukhsana started working at Thomson Reuters, within Human Resources, more specifically in People Development. She spent 7 years there working in various roles and has been fortunate enough to travel across the globe with work. Rukhsana then moved to Deloitte, where she has been for the last 6 months.
