About me

Valerio Riavez is CEO and Co-Founder of political tech start-up Electica and Lecturer of Political Entrepreneurship at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has consulted and managed political and advocacy campaigns in more than 15 countries across Europe, Asia, and North America, and at Electica has developed the first European digital targeting platform for politics and advocacy. From 2017 to 2019 he worked at Liegey Muller Pons, the company responsible for the launch of President Macron’s movement in France, and was Co-Founder of Yes Europe Lab, a civic action lab that trained over 1,000 pro-European politicians and activists ahead of the 2019 EU parliamentary elections. Prior to his experience in tech and politics, Valerio worked at the nexus of finance and policy at Mediobanca in Milan and at BlackRock in London, where he was part of the team that conducted the stress tests of the Greek banks as part of the country’s 2015 bailout program. In his earlier career, he was a trainee with the United States Mission to Italy and at the Economic and International Cooperation Office of the Italian Embassy in Bogota, Colombia. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s in International Business from LUISS Guido Carli, a Master in Business Administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Master in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, where he was also a teaching fellow in leadership and European policy.
