Salma Salem

Salma is a PhD candidate in the Department of International Development, specialising in Development Economics and Data Science. Her work applies advanced data analysis techniques to tackle complex social and economic challenges, with a particular focus on the effectiveness and sustainability of UNRWA’s livelihoods programs for Palestinian refugees. Her research aims to understand how different combinations of these interventions can strengthen long-term outcomes and reduce aid dependency.
