Nour AlBrzawi

About
Nour is a Research Assistant at the TPI Global Climate Transition Centre (TPI Centre).
The TPI Centre provides asset owners and managers with publicly available data on the climate performance of companies, banks and countries. As part of the Assessing Sovereign-related Climate Opportunities and Risk (ASCOR) project, she contributes to sovereign assessments and research across emission reduction targets, climate policy, and climate finance.
Background
Prior to joining the TPI Centre, Nour worked at the LSE Middle East Centre and LSE Cities, where her research focused on transnational politics in the Middle East and North Africa and on policy pathways towards an environmentally sustainable future in Kuwait. Alongside her academic work, she spent a year and a half with a UK-based charity supporting people in immigration detention with access to justice.
Earlier in her career, Nour worked in Lebanon in humanitarian and emergency education as a science educator, creative writer, and MEAL officer. During this time, she contributed to education programming and developed a children’s book series focused on climate and environmental education for refugee communities.
Nour holds a double undergraduate degree in Biology and English Literature and Linguistics from the Lebanese American University and the Lebanese University, and an MSc with First Class Honours in Anthropology and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
