Dr Asha Herten Crabb

Asha is an IRD Fellow in the Department of International Relations at LSE.

She completed her PhD in International Political Economy at LSE in 2024 and also holds a BA in Philosophy, BSc (Hons) in Genetics and Immunology, and a Master in Human Rights Law from the University of Melbourne, and an MSc in infectious disease control from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She was previously Guest Lecturer for the European Institute at LSE, and has worked as a researcher and policy analyst at Chatham House, the Fiji Ministry of Health, the Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy, and ActionAid.

Asha’s research covers international trade, health policy, and gender equality - and their intersections – with an emphasis on how global governance structures shape policy making and its outcomes at the national (UK), regional (EU, MERCOSUR), and international levels (WHO, WTO).
