Dr Martin Husovec quoted in FT article on transatlantic battle over free speech

Dr Martin Husovec was recently quoted in a Financial Times article ‘The transatlantic battle over free speech’ (3 March 2026). He argued that the EU Digital Services Act reflected an element of compromise amongst member states and, without it, individual countries might introduce their own more draconian rules. He also suggested that US tech firms were opportunistically framing hostility to regulation as a question of ‘free speech’  and censorship.
