Commemorating 100 years since the fight for votes for women

Hosted by the London School of Economics and Political Science

LSE campus

This event is the official opening ceremony for three LSE buildings being renamed in honour of three leading suffrage campaigners: Emmeline Pankhurst, Millicent Garrett Fawcett and Emmeline Pethick- Lawrence.

The event commemorates 100 years since the fight for votes for women and celebrates our ongoing work in gender equality at the School. The ceremony will be attended by HRH The Countess of Wessex GCVO and other special guests.

Drinks and canapés will be served.

Photos from the event can be found on LSE's flickr account at Clement's Inn Buildings.

LSE holds a wide range of events, covering many of the most controversial issues of the day, and speakers at our events may express views that cause offence. The views expressed by speakers at LSE events do not reflect the position or views of The London School of Economics and Political Science.

From time to time there are changes to event details so we strongly recommend that if you plan to attend this event you check back on this listing on the day of the event.
