Dear MSc Finance and Economics Offer Holder,

Congratulations on your admission to our MSc Finance and Economics programme. Our MSc is distinctive in its mix of finance and economics and its setting in the research-focused environment of the London School of Economics. The programme is challenging and intensive: the purpose of this letter is to welcome you to this highly selective programme. 

In these pages you will find an outline of the structure of the programme and suggested readings. These are not required reading, but are useful to consider for those who wish to read ahead. The MSc Finance and Economics programme covers topics in both economics and finance. If your undergraduate degree emphasised finance or business topics, you may wish to review microeconomics or econometrics topics before arriving. If your undergraduate degree had an economics focus then perhaps you would benefit from reviewing topics in capital markets or derivatives pricing. 

These pages also contain advice and guidance on careers preparation, and also provide a window into various aspects of LSE and life in London which you may find interesting.
