Digital Community

PhD Community

Our digital community is comprised by our blog and various social media platforms

The digital presence of the Centre is constituted mainly through its social media channels and blog. Each of these are accessible for PhD students. As part of the Community, you can contact the Centre to disseminate your research, visibilise  projects or enhance the outreach of your investigation.

LACC Blog

Our renowned blog uses evidence-based analysis to increase awareness and understanding of Latin America and the Caribbean, both as a region and as individual states and territories. We are particularly keen to publish contributions that approach the region on its own terms. Our thematic coverage is broad and multidisciplinary, encompassing all aspects of governance, economics, international affairs, politics, culture, and society.

PhD students are welcome to submit a pitch to contribute to the blog. You can do so by getting in touch with us here. To achieve better regional representation, research on the (non-Spanish speaking) Caribbean and Central America is particularly encouraged.

Social Media Channels

The Centre has a sizeable presence on different social media platforms. Through these, we do not only disseminate research on Latin America and the Caribbean produced at the LSE, but also, strive to become a digital hub for academia, events, and activities on the region.

As part of our PhD Community, students are welcome contact the Centre’s Community Engagement Officer to request help with visibilising and sharing their research on social media channels. You can access the Centre’s different accounts here:
