Two incredible events to make connections with your fellow students and LSE academics
Welcome reception
This event is the first of the Social Programme events and there is one at the start of each session. There are welcome receptions for each subject group, taking place on the first Monday in each session.
We encourage you to come along and meet students from all courses over some drinks and canapés. There will also be a chance to network and meet the academic staff at LSE.
This event is not ticketed but operates on a first come, first served basis.
I really enjoyed the welcome reception! It was such a great space to meet so many new people – not only from your department and from your classes but from other classes as well. I also really enjoyed hearing from the professor speaking and having his input on the programme.
Farewell party
This event is the final send-off for our Summer School students, which takes place at the end of each session. We invite you to celebrate all your hard work with a well-earned night of fun.
The farewell party takes place at the Saw Swee Hock Centre with entertainers, plenty of sweets, photobooths and lots more!
I thought meeting new people was going to be challenging. However, you're in such welcoming surroundings meeting like-minded people and making friends has been easy.
