This workshop will help you discover what makes a good Social Science/LSE essay and how to get a head start. Learn to distinguish descriptive writing from critical writing and why this is important for your essays.

This session is delivered by LSE LIFE, a unique LSE service where you can learn more about yourself, your studies and your goals.

Please Note: Our free events are oversubscribed and will operate on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Important notes for Spark events:

  • Please arrive on time and ensure your attendance is recorded by an LSE member of staff. If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the session starts, your attendance will not be recorded and you will not receive credit towards your Spark badge.   • Do NOT register for the event with your LSE email address - This address will be deactivated when you leave Summer School and may create issues with awarding you your Spark badge.
  • If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket as soon as possible so that your place can be offered to someone else.
  • Where available, we will email class materials to students that attend the event.
