About me

Before joining LSE, Shereen was a Lecturer in Human Geography at Queen Mary University, where she taught and convened modules relating to political geography.

During her fellowship, Shereen will be working on a project titled: "Following the paper trails: An examination into the impacts of the Prevent Duty on schools and Muslim communities in London”. As part of her fellowship, she will publish journal articles, organise workshops to critically discuss and examine the (non)violent geographies of the War on Terror and will also engage in a creative project to explore the impacts of Prevent on public institutions. Shereen is interested in the legal infrastructures of the War on Terror, the affective life of documents and Muslim geographies.
