Chiara is currently an LSE Fellow at the Department of Health Policy. Her research focuses on the dynamics of health system reforms and their implications for health system performance, adopting a comparative system-level perspective. She employs a mix of quantitative and qualitative methods. Her research fosters a multidisciplinary approach to policy topics such as mental health, inequalities in health, gender, and digital health issues. Her work has appeared in media and peer-reviewed outlets such as Health Policy.
Prior to commencing her PhD and working as a casual academic at the University of Newcastle, she served as an economic advisor to the Chilean Minister of Health during a period of healthcare system reform, acquiring invaluable insights into real-world policymaking. She is a member of international professional associations and research collaborations such as IHEA and VHEP.
Chiara holds an MSc in Health Economics, Policy, and Management from the University of Bologna and a BA in Economics and Management from the University of Trento.
