Sigrid is a PhD student at the LSE Department of Sociology. She holds an MA from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and a BA in Social Anthropology and Politics from University of Cambridge.

Research
Sigrid’s research focuses on the intersections of empire, borders and policing in the context of Denmark in the post-9/11 era. She is interested in ethnographic approaches to the state, its transnational entanglements and contestations.
Supervisors: Dr Mahvish Ahmad (Department of Sociology) and Dr Kristin Surak (Department of Sociology).
