In his new book The Well-Tempered City, Jonathan F. P. Rose discusses the rapidly changing times in which we are living – the mega trends of climate change, biodiversity loss, population growth, inequality, urbanization. globalisation, and financial influence effect every city in the world. 

Jonathan F. P. Rose works with cities and not-for-profits to plan and build green affordable and mixed income housing and cultural, health, and educational centers. Recognised for creating communities that literally heal both residents and neighbourhoods, Rose is one of the US's leading thinkers on the integration of environmental, social, and economic solutions to the urban issues facing us today.

Richard Sennett writes about cities and about labour. He is Professor of Sociology at the London School of Economics and Political Science and Visiting Professor of Architecture at Cambridge University. 

LSE Cities (@LSECities) is an international centre at the London School of Economics and Political Science that carries out research, education and outreach activities in London and abroad. Its mission is to study how people and cities interact in a rapidly urbanising world, focusing on how the physical form and design of cities impacts on society, culture and the environment.
