Dr Avrahampour is an Associate Professor (Education) of Management. He is also an Executive Director within the Forum for European Philosophy of the European Institute. He received his PhD, which focussed on the setting of investment policy by UK defined benefit pension funds over the past 60 years, from the University of Essex, his Executive MBA from London Business School and his BA from the University of Leeds.

Dr Avrahampour has considerable practitioner experience having previously been a Vice President at Merrill Lynch, where he worked for 13 years. He has been a Trustee of Merrill Lynch's UK pension funds, a Member of the Pensions Technical Actuarial Standard working party for the Board for Actuarial Standards and is currently a member of the Advisory Council for the Occupational Pensions Defense Union (OPDU).
