On leave Michaelmas term 2019.
Dr Frido Wenten joined the Department of Manangement in January 2017. He conducts research on labour relations and industrial development, with a focus on the global automotive industry in China and Mexico. Frido is particularly interested in the constitutive role non-elite social groups can play in political economic change and institutional settlements – and the wider implications for theorising development and social change.
Dr Wenten completed his PhD in Development Studies at SOAS. He also holds postgraduate degrees from the Free University of Berlin and the University of Sussex. Before joining LSE, Dr Wenten taught at the Department of Development Studies at SOAS, where he also held a Postdoctoral Fellowship of the ESRC Global Challenges Research Fund.
