Dr Connson Chou Locke joined the Department of Management in 2008. She teaches courses in organisational behaviour, leadership, and negotiation and decision making. In 2013, she received the Department of Management Outstanding Teaching Contribution Award and in 2015 she was Highly Commended for Inspirational Teaching in the Student-Led Teaching Excellence Awards. Dr Locke holds a PhD and MSc in Organisational Behaviour from the University of California, Berkeley and a BA in Sociology from Harvard University where she graduated with honours.
Before entering academia, Dr Locke worked for 16 years as an educator, manager, and management consultant in the United States and Asia Pacific. She was the Asia Pacific Regional Training and Development Manager for the Boston Consulting Group where she oversaw the learning and development of consulting staff across the region. Dr Locke has extensive experience designing and teaching leadership development programmes and providing executive coaching. She has worked in nearly 20 countries across Europe and Asia Pacific as well as in the United States and Australia.
Dr Locke currently teaches on, and holds director level positions, with two high-level executive education programmes at the LSE: the Executive Global Masters in Management and the LSE’s successful programme of short executive education courses aimed at senior professionals.
