The IR Student Handbooks for the academic year 2018-19 are available here.  They are downloadable in PDF format from within the School network only.

The Handbooks will no longer be supplied in hard copy to 2nd and 3rd year BSc students, or MSc or PhD students.

Managing your Studies Guide for IR taught course students

Managing your Studies guide

(In case the link does not work, log into Moodle, look for the Navigation block and click Courses to see a list of all departments. Select the IR Department, then ‘Managing your Studies Guide’ and finally ‘Enrol me’.)

The guide contains information and advice on assessment and feedback, the MSc Dissertation, marking criteria, classification scheme, writing essays (including referencing), sitting exams and rules for assessed coursework.

Please note that we have changed the IR499 Dissertation submission deadline to 4.00pm, Wednesday 21 August 2019. The IR499 Dissertation Notes have been updated to reflect the new deadline. The updated Dissertation Notes are available on the IR499 Moodle page.
