About me

Carl-Ludwig has been working in higher education for over 15 years. He first joined LSE in 2008, and spent six years as process manager in LSE’s Undergraduate Admissions Office, where he oversaw the implementation of the School’s new ‘paper-light’ undergraduate admissions system. Prior to his appointment in the European Institute, he took a break from HE to work at London City’s Hall, where he managed the Mayor’s Public and Community Engagement Unit.

As European Institute Manager, Carl-Ludwig heads up the department’s administrative services. He is responsible for strategic planning, allocation of resources, the development of new programmes and courses, finances and budgeting, and directing the work of the professional services team. He is part of the EI’s leadership team, working closely with the Head of Department, Deputy Head and Deputy Department Manager.

Carl-Ludwig’s free-time interests are music, cinema, photography, running - including competing each year in the Berlin Half Marathon, and supporting his football team.
