Carl-Ludwig has been working in higher education since 2001, except for two years away at London’s City Hall from 2014-2016. He also spent six years as process manager in LSE’s Undergraduate Admissions Office, where he oversaw the implementation of the School’s new ‘paper-light’ admissions system.
As Manager of the European Institute, Carl-Ludwig is responsible for a number of areas including strategic planning, allocation of resources, finances and budgeting, the development of new programmes and courses, and managing and developing the professional services team. He is part of the EI’s leadership team, working closely with the Head of Department, Deputy Head and Deputy Institute Manager.
In his personal time Carl-Ludwig enjoys spending time with his daughters, running (competing each year in the Berlin Half Marathon), music, cinema, and watching football.
