Commenting on the news, LSE Director Minouche Shafik said:

“We at LSE are immensely proud to be ranked as the top university in London.  Our global perspective on teaching and research is enhanced by our home in one of the most diverse and vibrant cities in the world.  This achievement is a tribute to the very special community of staff and students who make up LSE.”
