LSE has retained its place as London’s leading university in the 'Complete University Guide' rankings for 2018.

The Complete University Guide is produced annually and assesses universities by a number of measures, including employment data, non-continuation rates, research quality and student satisfaction.

LSE is ranked fourth out of the 129 universities assessed nationally by the guide and top of the 22 universities assessed in London, the region which features more institutions in the top ten than any other part of the UK.

The 2018 Guide also rates ten LSE disciplines in the national top ten.

Professor Julia Black, Interim Director of LSE, said:

“LSE retaining its place as London’s top university is testament to the hard work of our staff and students, alongside the continuing focus and investment in world-class research and teaching.

“While league tables will never capture the diversity and richness of studying at LSE, the School’s high performance across subjects reflects how many of our students go on to enjoy successful careers in a range of fields.
