An odyssey through the underworld. Hadestown is a reimagining of the Greek myths of Orpheus and Eurydice, Hades and Persephone told through jazz, rock and blues music.
Created by singer songwriter Anais Mitchell, Hadestown follows the doomed love story of Orpheus and Eurydice spliced with the myth of Hades and Persephone. Not just about good v evil or tragedy v happy endings, Hadestown highlights the value of storytelling despite knowing the ending.
