Booking accommodation
Accommodation in all LSE halls of residence for Summer School 2026 is now open for students who have accepted their Summer School study offers.
Please note: Summer School session 1 is fully booked at Carr-Saunders Hall, Passfield Hall, Rosebery Hall and High Holborn Residence.
Early arrival accommodation
Early arrivals for Session 1 (Saturday 20 June 2026) are not possible at urbanest Westminster Bridge, Butler's Wharf Residence or Sidney Webb House. For other LSE halls, please contact us at residences.summerschool@lse.ac.uk. We will check availability and if possible, make a booking on your behalf, email you to confirm details and advise how you can make payment.
Early arrivals for Session 2 (Saturday 11 July 2026) and for Session 3 (Saturday 1 August 2026) can be booked online in your accommodation account when making your main session booking. If you decide you would like to arrive early after you made your main session booking, please contact us at residences.summerschool@lse.ac.uk to request this. We will check availability and if possible, make a booking on your behalf, email you to confirm details and advise how you can make payment.
Preparatory English course accommodation
If you need to book accommodation for Preparatory English Session 2 or Preparatory English Session 3, you can select this option in your accommodation account and book this online.
If you need to book accommodation for Preparatory English Session 1, please contact residences.summerschool@lse.ac.uk. We will check availability and if possible, make a booking on your behalf, email you to confirm details and advise how you can make payment.

Prep English One: 14 to 21 June

Please check our halls table above to see our dedicated halls for Preparatory English course accommodation. All our halls are in Central London, so you won't have to travel far.
To share a room, all students must be attending the LSE Summer School. Each student needs to complete the booking process separately. If you would like us to allocate you with another student(s), all students must book the same room type, in the same hall, for the same dates.
Twin rooms can be shared by students of the same sex only. If you feel you have exceptional circumstances that you would like us to consider, please specify these in the "Allocation Requests" field at the time you make your booking.
To enable us to match roommates, both students must list each other as their preferred roommate at the time of booking. Please note that any roommate requests must be made at least 1 week prior to arrival.
We strongly recommend that you pay your accommodation fees online via credit or debit card in your student accommodation portal. This will ensure your booking is confirmed instantly via email.
Payment via bank transfer
If you are unable to pay via credit or debit card you can pay via bank transfer. To do so, log into the online payment portal. Please be aware that charges can take up to 24 hours from booking to appear in your online payment portal.
Please ensure you select the summer school accommodation charges to make your payment against. Your payment must be received within 72 hours to avoid cancellation of your provisional booking.

The quickest way to submit a cancellation request is to use the 'Cancel' option online from within your LSE Accommodation Account. If you are not able to do this, please use our online contact form on this page to submit your cancellation request. Please note we only accept online cancellations via our contact form or online cancellation requests submitted within the LSE Accommodation portal. Cancellation of your study programme does not automatically mean that your accommodation is cancelled.
Your payment will be refunded as set out in the table.

One hall has gym facilities:
- urbanest Westminster Bridge has a gym room. Access will be free of charge for students who register at reception to use these facilities. Please note some maintenance works will be completed over the summer, so access may be limited at times and subject to availability.
Alternatively, you're welcome to use the LSE Students' Union gym.
