Summer School 2022

Students taking more than one course will be eligible for discounted rates as outlined below:

* Student rate applies to all full-time students who are currently enrolled at a University or College anywhere in the world. 

In addition, a non-refundable £50 application fee must be paid when submitting your application.

Discounts

A 15% reduction in fees is available to the following groups:

  • Current LSE students
  • LSE alumni
  • Former LSE Summer School students
  • Current or former students of the University of London Programmes, who are studying for or have completed a BSc or Graduate Diploma with academic direction from LSE.

To ensure that the discount is awarded, applicants should ensure that the appropriate section of the application form is completed.

How to pay

The non-refundable £50 application fee must be paid using a debit/credit card when submitting your application. Once you have been made an offer, your tuition fees can be paid using a debit/credit card or via bank transfer using our online payment system. 

LSE does not accept American Express or Diners Club.

Withdrawal and flexible refund policy

Cancellation Period

As you have agreed and entered into the contract with us by means of distance communication, you may terminate the contract and withdraw from the programme within 14 calendar days from the date on which you accepted the offer of a place.

You must notify us by writing to summer.school@lse.ac.uk. We will issue a refund for tuition fees which you have paid to us within ninety (90) calendar days of such cancellation.

Refund Policy

We operate the following policy on refunds after the Cancellation Period:

In order to withdraw from the programme, students must inform the Summer School Office in writing to summer.school@lse.ac.uk and receive written acknowledgement of their withdrawal.

Tuition fees will then be refunded in accordance with the terms set out below. The application fee is non-refundable.

The Commencement Date refers to the date on which we begin to run events, teaching or otherwise, for your programme. These dates are:

Session One: 20 June 2022
Session Two: 11 July 2022
Session Three: 1 August 2022 

  • All refunds are made in UK Sterling. LSE cannot refund any shortfalls due to exchange rate fluctuations, or offer compensation for any bank or other charges incurred.
  • Refunds will be returned to the account in which the payment was made within 60 days.
  • Refunds requested during the programme will be processed after the full Summer School programme has finished in August. 
  • Refunds for accommodation are separate from the tuition fees refunds. 100% refunds are available for accommodation cancellations made at least 21 days in advance. Please contact the Accommodation office directly for more information: residences.summerschool@lse.ac.uk.
