This course is compulsory on the MPhil/PhD in Philosophy. This course is not available as an outside option to students on other programmes.
Course content
In this course, we will read and carefully discuss together a range of classic papers in contemporary analytic philosophy that might not otherwise be covered in LSE Philosophy Department courses. Topics are selected from metaphysics, the philosophy of mind and action, ethics, epistemology, and the philosophy of language. This list is illustrative.
Teaching
15 hours of seminars in the Autumn Term.
