Availability

This course is compulsory on the MPhil/PhD in Computational Social Science. This course is available on the MPhil/PhD in Demography (Social/Formal). This course is not available as an outside option to students on other programmes.

This course is available as an option to Visiting PhD students in the Department of Methodology.
Seminars take place throughout the academic year.

Course content

MPhil/PhD students present aspects of their work in progress to an audience of their peers, with time for discussion and feedback. Additional sessions will entail discussion of academic careers and professionalisation. Students are expected to attend each seminar and to present their work once per year.

Teaching

This course has a reading week in Week 6 of Autumn and Winter Term.
