Research Prospectus in Political Science

Availability

This course is compulsory on the MRes/PhD in Political Science. This course is not available as an outside option to students on other programmes.

For MRes/PhD students in Political Science only.

Course content

A research paper, not to exceed 10,000 words, related to the student's designated major field, to be submitted in August.

Teaching

There will be two four-hour workshops held in May to allow students an opportunity to present their work in progress and receive feedback from faculty and peers.

Formative assessment

Memo.

Students will be expected to provide feedback for their fellow students by submitting a memo to Moodle the day before the ST workshops. The students will be expected to read all other submissions and write one paragraph of feedback on each proposal.

Assessment

Research project (100%, 10000 words) in August.
