Availability

This course is compulsory on the MSc in Human Geography and Urban Studies (Research). This course is not available as an outside option to students on other programmes. This course uses controlled access as part of the course selection process.

Course content

The dissertation may be on any topic within the field of the MSc programme studied. Approval for the topic must be obtained from the relevant Programme Director.

Teaching

This course has a reading week in Week 6 of Autumn and Winter Term.

This course is primarily about independent work for the MSc dissertation. There are two required workshops (one in each teaching term), and a set of readings and exercises for students to follow to help them hone their work over the academic year.
