Course content

Sustainability in Practice is a high-level skills practical course delivered in partnership with LSE Generate and a range of contributors from local and regional environmental and sustainability consultancies and other businesses with sustainability as a core focus of their operations. The course aims to provide students with the skills, knowledge and expertise to pursue a career in this rapidly growing employment field. Students will be able to develop academic knowledge of the subject area, but also be able to gain practical experience of professional project work through working in partnership with business experts and LSE Generate on 'real-world' problems. The emphasis of this course is on professional skills development, problem-solving, and group work, while also allowing students to reflect on their experience through the lens of their wider programme of study.

By the completion of this course, all students will have a sophisticated professional level understanding of the diverse field of sustainability in practice, experience of working with business leaders on real world projects in a professional capacity, and will develop a number of valuable skills to add to their CVs.
