Availability
This course is available on the MSc in European Studies (Research), MSc in International Political Economy (Research) and MSc in International Relations (Research). This course is available as an outside option to students on other programmes where regulations permit.
Course content
This programme is designed to give students a good introduction to quantitative and qualitative methods and to acquaint them with the strengths and limits of different methodologies. The course has three main components:

Assessment
Exam (33%, duration: 2 hours) in the summer exam period.
Project (33%, 3000 words) and research design (20%) in the ST.
Class participation (4%) and research proposal (10%) in the MT.
Students registered on this course will submit a research proposal and research design covering MY400 (1500 words in MT, 4000 due in ST) and be assessed on MY400 class participation, project covering MY421 (3000 words) due in ST, and will take the exam paper MY4M2a (based on the MY452 syllabus) in ST.
