Mathematics: Seminar on Combinatorics, Games and Optimisation

Availability

This course is compulsory on the MPhil/PhD in Mathematics. This course is available with permission as an outside option to students on other programmes where regulations permit.

Other members of the research community are welcome to attend.

Course content

The seminar ranges over many areas of pure and applied mathematics. The emphasis is on topics in discrete mathematics, operations research and game theory.  The seminar is regarded as an important part of research students' formal training and they are expected to attend and contribute.
