<p>In a world beset by a global pandemic and an existential climate change emergency\, Executive Secretary of UN Climate Change Patricia Espinosa will provide her vision for 2021 and discuss why this year’s global climate change negotiations\, or COP26\, will play a crucial role with respect to addressing climate change\, building forward from COVID-19 and reinforcing the very concept of multilateralism itself. </p>

<p>Patricia Espinosa (<a href="https://twitter.com/PEspinosaC">@PEspinosaC</a>) is the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Ambassador of Mexico to Germany since 2012 and from 2001 to 2002\, Ms Espinosa was Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mexico from 2006 to 2012\, bringing more than 30 years of experience at highest levels in international relations\, specialized in climate change\, global governance\, sustainable development\, gender equality and protection of human rights.</p>
