Availability

This course is available on the BSc in Actuarial Science, BSc in Business Mathematics and Statistics, BSc in Mathematics, Statistics, and Business and BSc in Statistics with Finance. This course is not available as an outside option nor to General Course students.

Pre-requisites

Students must have completed Elementary Statistical Theory (ST102). 

Course content

Students will produce a project involving a critical investigation and collation of statistical data on a topic of their own interest.

Teaching

9 hours of seminars and 3 hours of workshops in the MT. 7 hours of workshops in the ST.

Students on this course will have a research week in week 6 where they can look up data sources for their assessed project.

Formative coursework

Oral presentation at the end of MT.
