This course is compulsory on the MSc in Economics and Philosophy. This course is not available as an outside option.

Course content

The course is intended to develop the ability to make philosophical arguments and to write structured philosophical essays. It covers topics in the philosophy and methodology of economics and will serve to prepare students for research and writing their dissertation.

Teaching

15 hours of seminars in the MT. 15 hours of seminars in the LT.

Formative coursework

Students will be expected to write one or more essays per term.

Indicative reading

Readings will be chosen by the seminar participants.
