Availability

This course is available on the MSc in Social Research Methods (Social Policy). This course is available as an outside option to students on other programmes where regulations permit.

For students who intend to use qualitative and quantitative computer packages in their research.

Course content

It is intended to provide research students with an appreciation of various computer packages through introduction and hands-on training in the use of these tools.

Teaching

63 hours of seminars in the MT. 75 hours of seminars in the LT.

Half-day introductory training courses on computer packages such as, Nvivo, ALCESTE, QDA Miner/Wordstat/Simstat, Stata and SPSS during the MT and LT. Participants will sign up via MOODLE.
