Availability

This course is compulsory on the MPhil/PhD in Government. This course is available as an outside option to students on other programmes where regulations permit.

For MRES/PhD students specialising in Ethnicity and Nationalism, who have attended an LSE Undergraduate or Master's course in this or a related field, or equivalent at another University. By permission, Visiting Students and others may also participate.

Course content

Critical analysis of recent theories and research in the fields of Ethnicity and Nationalism.

Teaching

10 hours of lectures and 20 hours of seminars in the MT. 10 hours of lectures and 20 hours of seminars in the LT.

Students may also attend the lectures in GV479 Nationalism and participate (subject to space) in the seminars in this course.
