Shaping transformational learning

We will equip our students to become the thought leaders of tomorrow.

Our graduates take learning back to diverse communities and have impact at global, national and grassroots levels. It is essential that we support them during their studies and throughout their careers, as the world quickly changes and adapts, to help them realise their potential and shape the world, for common good, and equip them to become the thought leaders of tomorrow.

Education can change a person’s life trajectory but obtaining a qualification is not enough to ensure they reach their full potential. Talented individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds have unequal access to a variety of educational opportunities and professional networks. We will continue to transform our curriculum to ensure all young people have the resources they need to succeed.

With your philanthropic support, we will invest in:

  • Expanding undergraduate scholarship support
Scholarships are essential in ensuring that talented students, particularly those from lower socio-economic backgrounds and minority groups, can access a life-changing education. LSE is fully committed to social mobility and advancing the diversity of our student population.
  • Supporting diversity in leadership
Despite progress in recent years, there remains a lack of diversity in leadership positions across all sectors. By prioritising investment in PhD scholarships, we will nurture talent to build a transformative pipeline of future leaders, helping to make our faculty more representative of the global LSE community, and support a diverse cohort of leaders in government, industry and entrepreneurship, and civil society.
  • Enabling extended education
In 1895, LSE began teaching courses, not degrees, largely to working professionals. As the world copes with the lasting effects of the coronavirus pandemic, flexible and blended-delivery courses provide opportunities to refresh and adapt knowledge and skills, and to build valuable networks. We are renewing our commitment to provide ongoing learning opportunities for our local and global communities through LSE Extend, our executive education offering.
