Assessment of sources of funding
The School has had procedures in place for the ethical review of grants and donations since 2012. These procedures were revised in November 2016 and can be found here. The School also has an overarching Donations Acceptance Policy which can be found here.
The Donor Charter sets out what donors to the School should expect in their relationship with LSE Philanthropy and Global Engagement.
Responsibility for fundraising
No individual, centre or department should request a donation on their own initiative without first consulting LSE Philanthropy and Global Engagement or the Research Division at an early stage. This does not apply to discussions with the Economic and Social Research Council and similar grant giving bodies over potential competitive bids for funds.
