LSE’s Department of Geography and Environment specialises in human geography, focusing on the social, economic, political environment aspects of the discipline. Students examine the uneven nature of social and economic development, and the relationship between geographical information and policy.
A centre of international academic excellence in economic, urban and development geography, environmental social science and climate change, the department offers undergraduate programmes in Geography, Environment and Development and joint programmes with Economics and Economic History.
