Are you considering applying for graduate programmes at LSE? Join us for an exclusive information session and interactive workshop in Santiago de Chile, designed to help you understand what makes a strong application and how to stand out in a highly competitive admissions process. 

This event is hosted in partnership with the Fundación Luksic. The Fundación Luksic offers full scholarships for Chilean students to undertake the Master in Public Administration (MPA) or Master in Public Policy (MPP) in the LSE School of Public Policy. Attendees will have the opportunity to:  

  • Gain insight into LSE’s graduate programmes, admissions criteria, and what our selectors look for in applicants. 
  • Hear from Luksic Foundation representatives to learn more about the Luksic Scholarship for Public Service. 
  • Discover practical tips for strengthening your application to showcase your academic potential and professional ambitions.

About the LSE School of Public Policy

The LSE School of Public Policy is an international community where ideas and practice meet. Our approach creates professionals with the ability to analyse, understand and resolve the challenges of contemporary governance. The School of Public Policy was founded in August 2018 under the leadership of Professor Andrés Velasco

The School of Public Policy offers a range of graduate degree programmes designed for students at various stages of their careers. These include: 

  • Master of Public Policy (MPP): A one-year programme designed for mid-career professionals with at least five years’ experience. 

About the Luksic Scholarship for Public Service

The Luksic Scholarship for Public Service aims to support the creation of trained leaders and experts with a public vocation in Chile. The Luksic Scholarship is available for Chilean applicants for the Master of Public Administration (MPA) and Master of Public Policy (MPP) who demonstrate a track record of academic excellence, a commitment to public service, and the potential to become a future expert and leader in their field.   

A total of four scholarships are available. The scholarship includes full cost of tuition for the duration of the programme. Successful awardees will receive a stipend to assist with living costs for the duration of their studies and a one-off payment to help cover the costs of relocating to London.  

To be considered for the Luksic Scholarship for Public Service, applicants must apply to the MPA or MPP programme. They must then complete Graduate Financial Support Application form on the Graduate Application Portal by the relevant deadline.

FAQs

Who can attend the event? 

The Information Session and Workshop is open to anyone interested in applying for a graduate programme (master’s or PhD) at LSE. Prospective students for all departments are welcome to attend – even if you are not considering applying the Luksic Scholarship for Public Service. 

Can you provide feedback on my application? 

No. We will not be able to provide feedback on draft application documents.  We will, however, provide plenty of useful information and case studies to help support you in your journey.  

What should I bring with me? 

Please bring something to take notes with. Please do not bring draft application documents as we will not be able to look at these or provide feedback. We will provide light refreshments to keep you hydrated during the event. 

What is the dress code? 

Please wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. 

Can I bring guests? 

No. Attendance is strictly limited to authorised ticket holders and guests will not be permitted entry by security.
