Longitudinal study on household debt and mental health among middle-aged and older population in Europe
Aapo holds a MSc in European Social Policy from the LSE and M.Soc.Sci. in Social and Public Policy from the University of Helsinki. Prior to joining the programme, he worked as a researcher at the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health. His research aims to determine the ways and contexts in which household debt is linked to mental ill-health among older European populations. Aapo’s research is funded by The Osk. Huttunen Foundation.

Research interests include social exclusion and financial hardship, social determinants of mental health and population ageing.
