If not together, then how?

On that sunny 23 March afternoon, I went to a Shoreditch repair shop. When I came back to my LSE flat, the UK government had decided that Britain was entering its first nationwide lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the last picture I took on my walk home. Just raw, almost an afterthought and, incidentally, showing an array of means of transportation that were not going to be an option for use anytime soon. I like to think that the graffiti itself has taken a whole new meaning and have come back to this picture often since first taking it. If we are not able to appreciate what we have in each other, if we don’t make the commitment of reflecting on how we can leave this extraordinary situation behind us, collectively, then what’s the point of having a conversation about how the future looks like?
