Research Assistant (part-time)

Lebanon Unsettled

The LSE Middle East Centre seeks a part-time Research Assistant to provide efficient, comprehensive and proactive support in Arabic and English for the research project ‘Lebanon Unsettled’ led by Dr Deen Sharp, Principal Investigator. 

Hours: Average of 10 hours per week 
Hourly Rate: £19.86 per hour 
Start date: September 2021 
End date: April 2022 

The Research Assistant will assist in archival research and data anaylsis. They will conduct literature reviews topics like urban social movements and assist the undertaking of interviews with key stakeholders. 

The successful candidate should have a Masters degree in a relevant topic (or near completion) and demonstrate a knowledge of theory, methods and pracitce as it relates to urban social movements. They will have excellent written and verbal commincation skills in English and Arabic.
